Don’t you just love a great duo? The 80s had many amazing double acts that blessed the airwaves with hot sounds. There was the Pet Shop Boys, Eurythmics, Go West, The System, Tears For Fears and, Soft Cell to name a few! In the modern era and in the current millennium we have a few great duos, The Midnight, Bunny X, Nakatomi Freefall and, one I am a little obsessed with, Radical Bicep!
First off let me just say I’m not being biased because I’m friends with Lisa and Doug, the two members of Radical Bicep. They have a flavour and style that I’m really digging. Each track has a different flavour. If you want some ambient vibes or something with rich a rich vocal and pulsating back beat they got you covered.
I love the velvety tone in Lisa’s voice and her empowering lyrics. It’s amazing to see another vocalist in the scene do her thing and in such a positive way. Side note, she’s one of the most positive people in the scene and is always showing love and encouragement to others!
Recently Radical Bicep have been making major waves are have teamed up with many other acts in the scene. My personal favourite songs of theirs (so far) would have to be All Sides, Phases and Achilles Heal. I know they have a lot in the pipeline and I’m excited to hear it!
They just dropped a new song with Rayne Rezor, Fly By Night which has a a slightly gothic twist.
Check them out and give them a follow, you won’t regret it!
