London Spring
One of the things I love about being born in London is that there is just so much to do. We have some gorgeous parks, historical sights and great architecture to indulge in. I live close to to Hampstead Heath and really enjoy taking walks there when the weather is nice. This particular part of the city has remained the same for so long. Unlike the glass structures and modern fixtures you see everywhere we still see old buildings, red phone boxes and other things that are typically British.
The other day I was taking an afternoon walk around Hampstead on a cooler spring day. I decided that as it was drizzling I would pull on some lighter items and celebrate the spring that way. It’s the time of year when although the sun is out and the weather is hot we still have wet and dreary days. I pulled on these fun pearl jeans from Evans Clothing. My thought was that i’d wear something casual and easy. When it comes to denim you just can’t go wrong!
Along side the jeans I thought I’d pull on this baby blue off the shoulder sweater from Navabi. This top is also available in peachy Apricot but with blue being my favourite colour there really was no choice lol. I thought i’d wear a simple pair of converse sneakers and a white denim jacket to finish things off. One thing London could be famous for is unpredictable weather so at times you have to be prepared for all eventualities.
The funny thing is I have lived in London my entire life and some things never get old! Since the rise of mobile phone usage you pretty much would never see a phone box anywhere but the traditional red ones have been left in place. Some of them have random plants and things placed inside. This one I stumbled across still worked which is a rare thing to see in the city!
London is my home town. I was born here and have never lived anywhere else. So many people come to my city and fall in love with the place. When you grow up somewhere like this it’s easy to overlook the gorgeous architecture, history and splendour. Such a diverse place to live bursting with life and madness lol. With the run up to the Royal wedding one can’t help but be surrounded by all things British and enjoy it!
