A Cross To Bear

One thing I love to share with people is my faith! I’m not one to bible bash people with my beliefs but I am a proud Christian. I think it’s important for people to be proud of who they are, what they believe and to be confident. Not often do you find clothing that which allows you to wear your faith with pride that isn’t the traditional garb. When you’re out and about running errands there’s nothing better than sticking on a t-shirt and jeans. We Wear All contacted me and gave me the chance to review something from their collection. This Lexi Cross Stud t-shirt was one of the first things to catch my eye.

What I loved about this one is that it’s available in a total of 10 different colourways. Anyone who likes this one will have a choice that works for them. I’ll be honest, I don’t own many t-shirts aside from my Michael Jackson fan tees. With that being said whenever I see one I want, I simply have to have it! I have a few cross necklaces but I don’t tend to wear them very often. I also find that sometimes you just want to be casual. Being able to wear a basic tee with a soft stretchy fabric is always nice, especially on a busy day. This metallic stud cross t-shirt has a really simple design but is so easy to style.

When putting this look together I drew upon my number one personal style rule. I was going to colour coordinate! Pairing this t-shirt with an old pair of acid wash jeans I had and some silver trainers made for a comfortable outfit I could wear whilst running errands. Hanna borrowed me her pair of Le Specs No Smirking Tortoise sunnies. On such a bright and sunny day they were perfect with my outfit and against the strong rays. Finally I pulled on my pewter grey bandana and I was ready head out and face the day. When I wear grey, I tend to add a touch of pink usually in my lipstick. I feel like you need some colour when you wear a single shaded tone.

I don’t think that what you wear always has to represent what you think or feel. If you do like to showcase your feelings whether it be with a slogan t-shirt, emblem, symbol or flag; I say go for it! I feel that as long as what you’re wearing is bold enough to make a statement without causing any harm or offence go for it! With that being said many people wear things purely for the fashion element and that’s totally cool. I respect the symbolic sign of the cross and what it represents and it’s fun for me to be able to wear it either as a statement or fashion accessory.

As I said previously, I don’t own too many t-shirts but I’m sure you’ll see me in more of them soon. Stay tuned lol. What are your thoughts of traditional or even religious symbols being put into mainstream fashion? I’m really interested to know!
