New Years resolutions or lifestyle changes are the current topic of discussion. We’re deep into the Christmas season and the upcoming new year is on everyone’s minds. In 2018 I decided to try and improve my health and fitness. I made a conscious effort to eat better, get more exercise and work on my physical strength. It’s been a bit of a roller coaster I have to say but a positive one. PrettyLittleThing reached out to me and asked if I wanted to be a part of their activewear campaign and I had to accept.

When you look good when working out it makes the whole experience a more pleasurable one. It used to be that workout clothes were dull and uninspiring. Now we have a plethora of options that are sleek, stylish and sassy! Fantastic for outdoor walks, cycling, running or indoor gym classes and workouts. When I saw these PrettyLittleThing Elasticated Band Leggings and Embroidered Long Sleeve Crop Top I had to have them. They looked comfortable, breathable and chic. The great news is that they are! If you enjoy working up a sweat and want to feel unrestricted I can highly recommend!

I live really close to Hampstead Heath here in London and enjoying going for long walks in the woods. Being in a place full of steep hills, broken trees full of wildlife can really test you physically. I find it’s a relaxed way to get the cardio going and to break a sweat! Having a great hoodie and some flexible leggings really helps! These PrettyLittleThing Charcoal Long Sleeved Hooded Gym Top and Plus Navy Elasticated Band Leggings are great for exactly that! Warm, comfortable and breathable. Perfect! When the rain dies down I’ll be doing exactly that!

Earlier in the year I had a workout session with a good friend of mine who showed me the benefits of boxing! I had no idea it could be such a great source of cardio! When you face off against that bag and smash into it as fast as you can in minute intervals it gets the blood pumping, adrenaline moving and feels pretty good when you’re done! I’m fortunate to have a gym in the basement of my apartment building and take advantage of it when I can. Seeing these PrettyLittleThing black boxing gloves on the site was great! The ones we have in our gym are way too big and not very comfortable. These are perfect size for my hands and they look pretty good too! The PrettyLittleThing plus burgundy leggings were a great choice also. The mesh inserts are great and help aerate the skin. Exactly what you want when you do an intense workout.

Sometimes low intensity workouts is the way forward especially when you feel tired or physically strained. Yoga, Pilates, stretching and similar activities can be really appealing. I selected the PrettyLittleThing Plus Black Band Cycle Short for this sort of thing. Of course the PLT Black Monogram yoga mat was needed too. The fabric is really spongy and soft, easily cleaned with a wet cloth or something. And as seen in almost all of these pics the PrettyLittleThing Black Mono Sweat Band was something I wanted. I tend to workout with bandanas so something light and stretchy was a nice find. So when heading to the gym it helps to have all of these things together and so carrying your bits in the Black Logo Gym Bag makes life easier. This is really worth having!

Fitness and exercise for me is something that is a newly committed part of my life. I don’t think it should just be about diets though. I really want to stress the point that I think anyone can be happy at whatever size or shape they are. Health should be at the forefront of any health journey with looks coming secondary in my opinion. Having my lumps and bumps on display when working out isn’t something I care about. The important thing is feeling good and getting strong.
